So it the Ext licensing doesnt bother me one bit, hey without the comercial entity I dont think we would have as great of a product as we do. And a lot of times, companies don&amp;#39;t even modify the libraries in any way, so there isn&amp;#39;t much to give back. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Software on the other hand, I think it&amp;#39;s more of a problem, since companies could just take something, rebrand it, and make it better then the original. The only problem IMO is the licensing isn&amp;#39;t very good. You may want to take a look at Dojo, which is more liberally licensed, and has pretty much the same functionality.
